With a playoff win on the line, Springwood rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 65-30 victory over Edgewood Academy. Springwood has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Shalexia Little continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 11-for-16 en route to 28 points. Thanks to that strong game, she now owns an excellent 41.4% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Patillo, who posted 14 points.

Despite the loss, Edgewood Academy still got an impressive performance from Emerson Boddie, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Newton, who scored eight points and three steals.

Springwood's win bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Edgewood Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-11.

Springwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 40-32 victory against Clarke Prep on the 13th. Edgewood Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
