The American Heritage Stallions will venture away from home to face off against the Monarch Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. American Heritage's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Monarch's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
American Heritage's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Jensen Beach. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Stallions.

Evan Fernandez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for American Heritage: the team is 6-2 when he allows at most one hit, but 5-7 otherwise. Fernandez was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
Fernandez wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Ashley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monarch). They blew past Northeast 17-1 on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Like American Heritage, Monarch also got a great game from a two-way player: Kyle Jensen. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Jensen was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Anthony Mercado was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. Jacob Weiner was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Monarch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
American Heritage's record is now 11-9. As for Monarch, their record now sits at 6-14.
