Horseheads and Ithaca are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Horseheads Blue Raiders will take on the Ithaca Little Red at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Horseheads has three straight victories, Ithaca has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Horseheads is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped two weeks ago as they easily beat Johnson City 75-47. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Ithaca played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Seton Catholic Central and fell 88-51. While losing is never fun, the Little Red can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 652nd, while the Saints are ranked 27th).

The victory got Horseheads back to even at 3-3. As for Ithaca, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Horseheads skirted past Ithaca 44-41 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Horseheads since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
