Basketball Game Preview: Brevard Blue Devils vs. East Henderson Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Brevard Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the East Henderson Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Brevard has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Brevard turned things around against R-S Central on Tuesday. They managed a 41-36 victory over the Hilltoppers.

Meanwhile, East Henderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 55-38 to West Henderson. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 384th, while the Falcons are ranked 171st).

Brevard will need focus on slowing down Mamie Hill, one of several East Henderson players who made an impact when they last played. She posted ten points and four steals. Hill has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Bridgette Kelly, who scored five points.

Brevard's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for East Henderson, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.

Brevard might still be hurting after the 50-26 loss they got from East Henderson in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Brevard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
