Football Game Preview: Joseph Eagles vs. Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler

The Joseph Eagles will take on Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Joseph's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 54-0 win over Jordan Valley. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four games by 33 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 52-48 to Dayville/Monument/Long Creek. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (38), Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler still had to take the loss.

The victory made it two in a row for Joseph and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points over those games. As for Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
