Volleyball Recap: Garinger Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Garinger came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the South Mecklenburg Sabres, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sabres this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-19, 25-6.

South Mecklenburg found their leader in freshman Sophia Woolman, who had 19 digs and three aces. Woolman is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Garinger's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for South Mecklenburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Garinger didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against West Mecklenburg on the 9th. As for South Mecklenburg, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Myers Park on the 9th.
