The NorthWood Panthers will take on the South Bend Adams Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
NorthWood is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Goshen with a sharp 17-1 win on Wednesday. Considering the Panthers have won ten contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Chloe Davis made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
In other batting news, NorthWood got a big performance out of Evyn Weldy, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Weldy a new career-high. Payton Sears was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
NorthWood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Goshen only posted a batting average of .080.
Meanwhile, South Bend Adams came into Thursday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Elkhart by a score of 7-4 on Thursday.
South Bend Adams' victory was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Angela McNellis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
NorthWood is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for South Bend Adams, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. NorthWood hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .332. However, it's not like South Bend Adams struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
NorthWood beat South Bend Adams 4-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
