Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Jonesport-Beals walked away with it. They walked away with a 61-54 victory over the Katahdin Cougars on Tuesday. For the Royals, this counts as revenge for the 45-29 win the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2022.

Jonesport-Beals is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points over those games. As for Katahdin, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

Coming up, Jonesport-Beals will square off against Central Aroostook at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Central Aroostook will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Jonesport-Beals surely won't give up without a fight. Katahdin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
