Volleyball Recap: Grove City Christian Extends Winning Streak to Six

Grove City Christian entered their tilt with Millersport on Thursday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Lakers with a sharp 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Lakers back in September, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-21, 25-15.

Leading Grove City Christian to victory were Kelsey Kennedy and Laney Lytle. Kennedy had nine digs and three aces, while Lytle had seven digs. Those three aces gave Kennedy a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Grove City Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 28 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Grove City Christian's record is now 16-6. As for Millersport, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
