Softball Recap: Chesnee Takes a Loss

If Chesnee was feeling good fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Landrum on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Chesnee took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodruff Wolverines on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost three in a row.

Chesnee's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Woodruff, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Chesnee didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Liberty on the 27th. As for Woodruff, they will venture away from home to face off against Mountain View Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodruff is facing Mountain View Prep at the right time seeing as Mountain View Prep is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
