Football Recap: Julian Archer's Menacing Defense Leads Bowsher over Woodward

Bowsher won the last time they faced Woodward, and Terryion Wright did his part to make sure it happened again. The BlueRacers took down the Polar Bears 17-0 on Friday thanks in part to Wright, who rushed for 179 yards and one score on only 11 carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 103.2 rushing yards per game.

Bowsher didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Julian Archer, Nahsohn Triplett, and Tylin- Cooper picked up one apiece. Kapone Flowers was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making eight total tackles.

Bowsher's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Woodward, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coming up, Bowsher will head out on the road to square off against Clay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodward, they will host Scott at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
