Basketball Recap: Vail Mountain Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Vail Mountain Gore Rangers took a blow against the West Grand Mustangs, falling 58-28. While losing is never fun, the Gore Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Mustangs are ranked 111th).

This is the second loss in a row for Vail Mountain and nudges their season record down to 5-13. As for West Grand, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Vail Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Grand, they are taking a road trip to take on Hayden at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hayden is on a three-game streak of home wins, West Grand a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
