Basketball Game Preview: Hancock Owls vs. Underwood Rockets

The Hancock Owls will face off against the Underwood Rockets at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Hancock comes in on 13 and Underwood on nine.

Last Thursday, everything came up roses for Hancock against Rothsay as the squad secured a 78-32 win. The Owls have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Underwood didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Brandon/Evansville on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 58-53 victory. Given the Rockets' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Chargers are ranked 240th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hancock's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.5 points. As for Underwood, their victory bumped their record up to 21-2.

Hancock was able to grind out a solid win over Underwood in their previous meeting back in January, winning 73-61. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hancock since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
