Cedar Creek and Crockett are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. Cedar Creek is taking a road trip to face off against Crockett at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cedar Creek is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Cedar Creek didn't have quite enough to beat Richards School for Young Women Leaders and fell 9-8.

E Samarripa was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Samarripa was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, L Hentschel made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). J Jimenez also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Crockett hadn't beaten Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin on the road since April 14, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. Crockett won by a run and slipped past Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin 6-5. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since February 27, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Emily Castillo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on 11 hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Sadie Peyton was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Adola Moore, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Cedar Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Crockett, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7-1.
