Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boone County). They came out on top against Owen County by a score of 8-4 on Friday. For Boone County, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 win Owen County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Boone County's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-12. As for Owen County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Boone County is taking a road trip to take on Nicholas County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Owen County, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Walton-Verona at 6:00 p.m.
