Basketball Game Preview: Steward Spartans vs. Walsingham Academy Trojans

Having just played yesterday, the Steward Spartans will get right back to it and host the Walsingham Academy Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Steward's favor as the squad sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Walsingham Academy has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

On Monday, Steward humbled Banner Christian with an 80-45 victory. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Walsingham Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Veritas School on Friday and fell 41-39.

Steward has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Walsingham Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Everything came up roses for Steward against Walsingham Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 56-26 win. In that game, Steward amassed a halftime lead of 41-13, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
