Liberty faced Durango in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trailblazers. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Liberty not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Durango between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-17.

MYLA MATAVAO paced Liberty's offense, picking up 15 kills. MATAVAO got some help from ADDISON JONES and her 34 assists. MAHANA CONNER controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Liberty moved to 12-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Durango, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
