Soccer Recap: Bunker Hill Victorious

Bunker Hill's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They beat the Foard Tigers by a goal, winning 1-0. Even though Bunker Hill got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Anthony Vargas Aguilera was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Bunker Hill's one-goal win came courtesy of David Hernandez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Bunker Hill's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Foard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

As for Foard, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Newton-Conover at 6:00 p.m. Newton-Conover will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Foard surely won't give up without a fight.
