Recap: Leake Central Gators vs. Senatobia Warriors
The Leake Central Gators and the Senatobia Warriors squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Leake Central Gators had to settle for second. Leake Central was dealt a 42-0 loss at the hands of Senatobia. Leake Central's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Todd Edmond threw for 142 yards on 14 of 28 attempts. Demar Gardner was his top target, picking up 104 receiving yards.
Leake Central's defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.8 points per game. As for Senatobia, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.
Leake Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Senatobia will take on Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Houston is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
