Softball Game Preview: Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans vs. Plymouth North Eagles

The Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans will take on the Plymouth North Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Bridgewater-Raynham came up short against King Philip Regional and fell 7-4. The loss put an end to the Trojans' undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plymouth North). They put the hurt on Duxbury with a sharp 14-8 win on Thursday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Chloe Stasinos spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks. She also put up two runs, which were her first of the season.

On the hitting side, Plymouth North got a massive performance out of Emerson Boyd, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Cora Gervasi, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Plymouth North's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Bridgewater-Raynham, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Bridgewater-Raynham took their victory against Plymouth North in their previous matchup on April 1st by a conclusive 15-1 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
