Volleyball Recap: Rigby Takes Down Ranked Thunder Ridge

Rigby faced Thunder Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Trojans came out on top against the Titans by a score of 3-1. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Rigby got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 25-17, 22-25, 25-21.

Breleigh Youngstrom went supernova, getting 22 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 17 games she's played.

Despite the defeat, Thunder Ridge had strong showings from Reese Hone, who had 25 digs and three assists, and Giulia Johns, who had 12 digs, seven kills, and two aces.

Rigby's win bumped their record up to 30-7. As for Thunder Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 14-16.

As of now, neither Rigby nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
