Softball Recap: Dunwoody Wildcats vs. North Springs Spartans
After flying high against Shiloh last Thursday, Dunwoody came back down to earth. The Dunwoody Wildcats fell just short of the North Springs Spartans by a score of 5-4 on Monday. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Spartans 0-0 in the first period.
Brooke Parkes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristina Conn, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Dunwoody's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for North Springs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dunwoody will take on Duluth at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Springs, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Lithonia at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
