Basketball Recap: Northside Christian Academy Skates Past Providence Athletic Club with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northside Christian Academy). They breezed by the Providence Athletic Club Panthers to the tune of 100-59 on Tuesday. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Northside Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dalton Gadson out in front who went 8 for 16 on his way to 24 points. With that strong performance, Gadson is now averaging an impressive 16.3 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Hilton Dessausure, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 19 points and four steals.

Freeman Bult and Mark Lara certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Bult went 10 of 18 on his way to 24 points, while Lara went 8 of 16 on his way to 23 points.

Northside Christian Academy pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Providence Athletic Club, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Northside Christian Academy will square off against Ragin Prep Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Northside Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Providence Athletic Club, they will head out to challenge Wardlaw Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Wardlaw Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
