Basketball Recap: Madison's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Madison entered their contest against Perry on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Madison Blue Streaks fell just short of the Perry Pirates by a score of 49-47. The Blue Streaks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Madison's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3. As for Perry, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison will head out to face off against Geneva at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Madison is facing Geneva at the right time seeing as Geneva is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Perry, they will venture away from home to challenge West Geauga at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for West Geauga: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Perry has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
