Preview: D'Hanis Cowboys vs. Knippa Crushers
D'Hanis is 9-1 against the Crushers since February of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The D'Hanis Cowboys will be playing at home against the Knippa Crushers at 6:30 p.m. D'Hanis will be strutting in after a win while the Crushers will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, D'Hanis didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Panthers, but they still walked away with a 45-41 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for D'Hanis.
The match pitted two key players against one another: Alysha Garcia and Schreiner Meredith. Garcia had a solid game and scored 11 points along with two steals. Meanwhile, Meredith was balling out in the loss, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Knippa's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by Rocksprings 71-14. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Knippa in their matchups with the Angoras: they've now lost six in a row.
D'Hanis has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Knippa, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12.
D'Hanis beat the Crushers 36-29 in their previous meeting back in January. Does D'Hanis have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Crushers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
