Soccer Recap: Godby Takes a Loss

Godby and Wakulla squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Godby had to settle for second. They lost 8-0 to the Wakulla War Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 411th, while the War Eagles are ranked 151st).

This is the second loss in a row for Godby and nudges their season record down to 6-5-2. As for Wakulla, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4-1 record this season.

Godby does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wakulla, they will challenge Fort Walton Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Wakulla will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
