Football Game Preview: West Scranton Invaders vs. Western Wayne Wildcats

West Scranton is 2-7 against Western Wayne since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Invaders will head out to square off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

West Scranton lost 28-7 to Mid Valley on Friday.

Meanwhile, Western Wayne fell victim to Honesdale and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Hornets 36-0.

West Scranton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Western Wayne, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

West Scranton might still be hurting after the 42-16 defeat they got from Western Wayne in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Invaders were down 35-3.
