Recap: Pender Patriots vs. West Columbus Vikings
The Pender Patriots scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 57-22 victory over West Columbus on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Pender has managed all season.
Jamiah Johnson was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Linde Cline, who scored ten points.
The win makes it two in a row for Pender and bumps their season record up to 3-7. As for West Columbus, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pender won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Wallace-Rose Hill at 5:00 p.m. on January 20th. Wallace-Rose Hill is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for West Columbus, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heide Trask at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
