Basketball Game Preview: Lake Clifton Lakers vs. Edmondson-Westside Red Storm

The Lake Clifton Lakers will head out on the road to face off against the Edmondson-Westside Red Storm at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Clifton's offense hasn't had much luck over their past four games, but Tuesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Thursday, Lake Clifton was beaten by Dunbar 56-20.

Meanwhile, Edmondson-Westside has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 28.44 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They lost 56-31 to Mount de Sales Academy. The Red Storm's loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Lake Clifton will have to keep a close watch on Makenzie Foreman and Gabrielle H, a pair of players who had a big impact on Edmondson-Westside's prior game. Foreman went 7 of 13 on her way to 20 points and eight rebounds, while H posted nine points and eight rebounds. That was a full 64.5% of Edmondson-Westside's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Lake Clifton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Edmondson-Westside, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1-1.
