After a string of five wins, Timber Creek's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northwest Texans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Timber Creek started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-14, 25-22, 25-10.

Despite the defeat, Timber Creek saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alex Collazo had nine assists and five digs. Jaclyn Gillespie also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Timber Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Northwest, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Timber Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against North Forney on the 22nd. As for Northwest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Walnut Grove on the 21st.
