Basketball Recap: Dreyfoos School of the Arts Piles Up the Points Against Village Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dreyfoos School of the Arts). They took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 58-15 victory over the Village Academy Tigers. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-9.

Dreyfoos School of the Arts' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but James Griffin led the charge by going 5 for 6 on his way to 10 points and three steals. That's the most steals Griffin has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Jimerson, who posted eight points and 12 rebounds.

The win got Dreyfoos School of the Arts back to even at 2-2. As for Village Academy, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Dreyfoos School of the Arts didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-46 loss against Berean Christian on the 5th. As for Village Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 91-24 defeat against Sports Leadership & Management on the 5th.
