Preview: Bay Path RVT Minutemen vs. Auburn Rockets
The Bay Path RVT Minutemen will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Auburn Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on December 29th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Bay Path RVT's 14-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They received a tough blow on Wednesday as they fell 71-57 to St. Paul. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Peter Barbale put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 26 points. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Greg Downie, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Auburn is still winless after their game against Blackstone Valley RVT on Wednesday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. Auburn fell just short of Blackstone Valley RVT by a score of 41-39.
Bay Path RVT now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Auburn, they bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Bay Path RVT strolled past Auburn when the teams last played back in February by a score of 58-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bay Path RVT since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
