Softball Recap: Riceville Has No Trouble Against Garner-Hayfield/Ventura

Riceville barely beat Garner-Hayfield/Ventura the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Cardinals on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won nine games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Riceville's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Garner-Hayfield/Ventura, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riceville will challenge Baxter at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Riceville is facing Baxter at the right time seeing as Baxter is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Garner-Hayfield/Ventura, they will venture away from home to take on North Iowa at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
