Softball Game Preview: Brooke Bruins vs. North Marion Huskies

The Brooke Bruins will challenge the North Marion Huskies at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Brooke couldn't beat Cambridge on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Bruins fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 6-5.

Maia Diserio was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Diserio, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Keyser hit North Marion with a five-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Huskies came up short against the Golden Tornado, falling 10-2. The loss continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Golden Tornado: they've now lost three in a row.

North Marion saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rayden Satterfield, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Brooke's defeat dropped their record down to 6-19. As for North Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 9-15.

Everything went Brooke's way against North Marion in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Brooke made off with a 10-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
