Volleyball Recap: Sun Valley Community Comes Up Short on the Road Against Carey

Sun Valley Community kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Carey Panthers by a score of 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Cutthroats in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Sun Valley Community took Carey into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-22, 25-18, 21-25, 16-14.

Looking ahead, Sun Valley Community will be taking part in a tournament against Butte County at 9:00 a.m. on September 4. As for Carey, they will square off against Murtaugh at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
