After both having extra time off, the Whitmer Panthers and the Copley Indians will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

If Springfield wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Whitmer, they should've done a better job of containing Taylor Brown. The Panthers blew past the Blue Devils 3-0 two weeks ago for which the team can thank Brown, who had 12 digs and ten aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Whitmer took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-8, 25-15.

Revere came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Copley, but Jayli Owens wouldn't allow it. The Indians walked away with a 3-1 win over the Minutemen last Thursday with plenty of help from Owens, who had 18 digs and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Copley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-17, 25-19, 25-23.

Whitmer's record now sits at 13-9. As for Copley, their record is now 15-7.
