Wayland took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lexington Minutemen 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Wayland took Lexington into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 26-28, 23-25, 25-21, 18-16.

Wayland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Agawam on the 29th. As for Lexington, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against St. John's on the 29th.
