Basketball Recap: North Star Academy Takes a Loss

North Star Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 71-63 to the Hillside Comets. While losing is never fun, North Star Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while Hillside is ranked 135th).

North Star Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Hillside, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Star Academy will square off against Bloomfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bloomfield has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Hillside, they will face off against Scotch Plains-Fanwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillside knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Scotch Plains-Fanwood likes a good challenge.
