Baseball Recap: Heritage Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

Heritage won the last time they faced Hemet and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Patriots sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Bulldogs.

Brennan Hendricks was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

Heritage has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hemet, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Heritage beat the Bulldogs by a score of 4-3 on Thursday.
