Volleyball Recap: Marquand-Zion Takes a Loss

Marquand-Zion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Grandview Eagles. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-11, 25-14.

Marquand-Zion's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Grandview, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Marquand-Zion will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Westwood Baptist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grandview, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Gideon on the 13th.
