Volleyball Recap: Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Victorious

After losing to LEE the last time they met, Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles walked away with a 2-0 win over the Volunteers on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-17.

Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial now has a winning record of 2-1. As for LEE, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial will venture away from home to take on Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for LEE, they will square off against San Antonio Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
