Softball Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

Columbus fell victim to Brodhead and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against Brodhead, falling 6-0. Columbus has struggled against Brodhead recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Brodhead, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Coming up, Columbus will face off against Lodi at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brodhead, they will head out to face off against Dodgeville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Dodgers will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight.
