Recap: Largo Packers vs. Leto Falcons

The Largo Packers struggled with assists on Wednesday (the Leto Falcons had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Largo's tough 62-36 loss to Leto might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Largo has scored all season.

Largo lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nicholas Garrison, who scored ten points. The match was Garrison's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Kepler, who scored 11 points.

Largo struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Leto had a senior duo take command as Derek Delgardo, jr scored 24 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists and Daniel Delgardo, III scored 18 points along with five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Delgardo, III has scored at least 25% of Leto's points. Another player making a difference was Christopher Cruz, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

Largo's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Leto, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Largo will be playing in front of their home fans against Gibbs at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Averaging 61 so far this season, Gibbs' high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Largo better be ready for a challenge. Leto's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sickles at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th. Sickles has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-3 during that stretch of close contests.
