Howell and Rock Bridge are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2017, but not for long. The Vikings are taking a road trip to take on the Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Howell will be strutting in after a victory while Rock Bridge will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Howell got the win against Howell Central by a conclusive 41-17. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Spartans are ranked 151st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 64 points the game before, Rock Bridge was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of Hickman by a score of 13-10.

The win made it two in a row for Howell and bumps their season record up to 5-3. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 22 points. As for Rock Bridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Howell couldn't quite get it done against Rock Bridge when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 28-21. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
