Basketball Game Preview: Kapaun Mt. Carmel Crusaders vs. Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles

The Kapaun Mt. Carmel Crusaders are taking a road trip to take on the Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kapaun Mt. Carmel will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak dating back to last season.

Last Friday, everything went Kapaun Mt. Carmel's way against East as Kapaun Mt. Carmel made off with a 64-43 victory. The Crusaders pushed the score to 54-29 by the end of the third, a deficit the Aces cut but never quite recovered from.

Corbin Johnson had a dynamite game for Kapaun Mt. Carmel, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards. The contest was Johnson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Maingu, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 14 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bishop Carroll, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 65-40 margin over West on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Golden Eagles have posted against the Pioneers since January 4, 2022.

Kapaun Mt. Carmel's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Bishop Carroll, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Kapaun Mt. Carmel was able to grind out a solid victory over Bishop Carroll in their previous meeting back in February, winning 72-59. Does Kapaun Mt. Carmel have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bishop Carroll turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
