Baseball Recap: Ardrey Kell Wins Going Away Against West Ashley

Ardrey Kell's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 18-9 margin over the West Ashley Wildcats. Considering the Knights have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Dylan Veverka was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Bryce Mancz was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.

Veverka wasn't the only one making solid contact: Ardrey Kell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Ardrey Kell has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for West Ashley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Looking ahead, Ardrey Kell will take on Palisades at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Ashley, they will challenge Summerville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The last four games the Green Wave have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
