After a string of four wins, St. John's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost 14-5 to the Brusly Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 10-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

St. John's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Brusly, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1-1.
