Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Lions vs. Piedmont Hills Pirates

The Lincoln Lions will head out to take on the Piedmont Hills Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Lincoln came up short against Leland and fell 61-51. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Piedmont Hills' good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They were beaten by Independence 65-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Pirates have suffered since December 21, 2024.

Piedmont Hills' loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-7. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Lincoln suffered a grim 66-41 defeat to Piedmont Hills in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can Lincoln avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
