Soccer Recap: Pine Tree Takes a Loss

Pine Tree lost to Kilgore on February 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates fell 2-0 to the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Pine Tree can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 91st, while Kilgore are ranked 19th).

Pine Tree's loss dropped their record down to 12-3-2. As for Kilgore, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pine Tree will challenge rival Carthage at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Kilgore is set to face off against their familiar foe Tatum at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
