Starting off the list is Charleston's TREYLIN COUCH, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. COUCH rushed for 264 yards while picking up 12.0 yards per carry. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.

The win got Mahomet-Seymour back to even at 2-2. Looking ahead, Ashby and the Bulldogs will welcome Mt. Zion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jaxon Bridges Delivers Electric Performance Vs Charleston

Jaxon Bridges put up the most passer rating he's had since back in September of 2024 on Friday. He threw for 278 yards and four TDs while completing 72% of his passes.

The win (which was Effingham's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. Coming up, Bridges and the Hearts will be playing at home against Taylorville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Mt. Zion Gets a Boost from Harvey in 48-0 Victory

The second Mt. Zion player making an appearance here is Jacob Harvey, and for good reason. He picked up 132 receiving yards and one touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making one tackle and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception.

For the year, Harvey has caught 8 touchdowns while averaging 158.5 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after four games last season, he was only averaging 22.5 receiving yards per game.
